Appointment & Fees

Our fees are reviewed in November. They are set at a lower level than suggested by the Australian Medical Association.

As of 1 November 2009:

  • Initial (first) consultation: $230
  • Subsequent outpatient visit: $95
    Please note that complex consultations may attract a higher fee.

Admitted patients (in-patient or day patient)

The costs of our medical services, when you are either an in-patient or day patient in a private hospital, are usually covered completely by Medicare and your health fund via schemes such as GapCover and Ezyclaim, or when appropriate, Department of Veterans' Affairs.

This does not necessarily apply to the costs of the hospital or other providers (such as pathologists or radiologists).

Providing we have the correct details, accounts for our services will be sent directly to your health fund.

Office (out-patient) services

These are services delivered when you are neither an inpatient or day patient. They are partly rebated by Medicare.

For sites without the option of a public clinic (eg Werribee Mercy Hospital, Goulburn Valley Health and Echuca Regional Health), the Medicare rebate will be accepted as full payment providing it is received within six weeks.

Payments

In addition to cheques and money orders, we accept payments using Visa and MasterCard.
