Dr William I (Ivon) Burns

Dr Burns was a pioneer in the area of medical oncology. He trained in Melbourne and at the University of California, and was the first head of oncology at St Vincent’s Hospital. His main interests are lung and bowel cancer and lymphomas.
He relaxes away from the clinic by farming cattle. |

Dr Dowling trained in Melbourne and at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Canada). His main interests are brain, breast and genito-urinary cancers. He is involved in post-graduate teaching and clinical research.

Dr McLachlan trained in Melbourne and at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Canada). She obtained her Masters from the University of Toronto. She is a clinical associate professor of medicine, University of Melbourne. Her main interests are lung, and gastro-intestinal cancers and cancer genetics. She is involved in under-graduate and post-graduate teaching and clinical research.
Her main non-clinical interests are travel, reading and family activities. |

Dr Raymond D (Ray) Snyder
MB BS, MMed, FRACP

Dr Snyder trained in Melbourne and at the MD Anderson and Tumor Institute (Texas). He has held lead positions in many professional cancer organisations. He is a clinical associate professor of medicine, University of Melbourne. His main research and clinical interests include breast and lung cancer and psycho-oncology.
His non-clinical interests include medical computing, tennis, and reading. |

Dr Genni Newnham

Dr Newnham trained at several Melbourne centres, and then proceeded to complete an MD on the significance of genetic changes that are present in certain lung cancers. Her main interests include bowel and lung cancers.
Away from work she enjoys good coffee and spending time with her family. |
